Fake Replica Watch -Avoid the Scam
There is no other watch on the planet that gets copied as much as Rolex and it’s because of the prestige and outrageous prices they command
The name Rolex signifies prestige and class. It tells the world that you’ve made it – that you’ve arrived. But there are plenty of people who want the Rolex look and feel without the high price.
While there are those people who get fooled into thinking they’re buying authentic Rolex watches from street vendors, there are many people who actively set out to buy replica Rolex watches.
Now you might be asking, “why would someone intentionally buy a fake Rolex”? The short answer is price. The long answer, however, might surprise you.
Today there are more replica Rolex watches sold than authentic ones. There is no other watch on the planet that gets copied as much as Rolex watches and it’s because of the prestige and outrageous prices they command. Authentic Rolex watches sell for thousands of dollars while a good quality replica can be had for a few hundred.
And since Rolex makes very few changes to their watches over the years, copiers have had ample time to hone their craft so that many of their replicas, are indistinguishable from the originals. There are very high quality Swiss and Japanese replica Rolex watches available for purchase.
But, even among the fake replica watches, there are things to watch for so that you don’t get ripped off. And since you’ll most likely only find replica watches for sale on the street or online, the probability of getting scammed is high.
There are many cases of people who buy Swiss fake Rolex replica watches based on pictures they see on a website. What they don’t know is that many of these photos have been lifted right off of the official Rolex site or are pictures taken of authentic watches. Always remember that anything can be faked on the Internet and it’s easy to set up a professional looking website that’s designed to just take your money.
Speaking of money, many companies that are on the shady side in an already gray area want you to pay by money order only, or worse, by cash. When you pay with a money order or cash there’s no way to trace it. If it’s a scam, you’re out of luck.
It might seem like an oxymoron to say there are reputable dealers of counterfeit watches, but there are. If you’re thinking of buying a Swiss Rolex replica, here’s some tips to help you avoid getting taken.
- Pay by COD. As stated earlier, money orders are like using cash. One of the more popular scams is requiring the customer to pay by credit card or money order and then sending out a rock or other item that has similar weight to a watch. The problem is, you ordered a watch, the company says they sent you a watch and then you signed for a package that said a watch was inside. Once the box is opened, you’re stuck.
- Also, look for companies that allow you to open your box and inspect the product BEFORE handing your money over to the courier. Many reputable dealers will allow you to refuse the watch if you’re not happy.
- If you’re looking at buying a watch from a particular dealer, take a few weeks and make random calls to their phone number. If you find that they fail to answer their calls at least 50% of the time, then you might want to steer clear of this operation.
- Beware of the “sounds too good to be true” syndrome. Remember that you ARE dealing with people who make a living in an ethical and moral twilight zone. If a company’s warranty or money back guarantee sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
And finally it’s possible to do a WHOIS search on a particular website. This will usually give you information like: who registered the domain name and when it was registered. Stay clear of domains that are under a year old.
